NUKITASHI THE ANIMATION: Episode 2 “Savior” – Chaos, Comedy, and Controversy Collide
If you thought Nukitashi the Animation couldn’t get wilder after its debut, Episode 2 “Savior” cranks the absurdity to 11—while sneaking in surprisingly heartfelt moments. Directed by Sumio Hiratsuka and produced by Passione (the studio behind High School DxD), this July 25, 2025, installment dives deeper into Seiran Island’s chaotic “Pervert Law” world, where free love is mandatory… unless you’re part of the resistance. Let’s break down why fans are losing their minds (in both good and bad ways).
First off, the episode wastes no time doubling down on the show’s signature humor. Remember that fake sex scene at the beach? Yeah, fans are still laughing about it. One MyAnimeList user called it “so funny,” especially since voice actors Kouhei Yanagi (Junnosuke) and Shizuka Ishigami (Nanase) are actually married IRL and expecting a baby. “Of all the anime they could’ve been cast in together,” another fan joked, “they picked this one. Hahaha XD” The over-the-top moaning and awkward fumbling had viewers cackling—proof that Nukitashi knows how to lean into its ridiculousness.
But it’s not all jokes. The episode digs into the characters’ hidden struggles, and some of them hit harder than you’d expect. Take Junnosuke: his big secret? A massive insecurity about his… well, size. “I lost it with the backstory of Junnosuke being bullied for having a big dick,” one fan admitted, “but I still felt for him.” It’s a silly premise, but the show plays it straight enough to make you cringe and sympathize. Then there’s Asane, who comes out as a lesbian—only to face pushback on an island that claims to embrace all sex. “The hug from Nanase after Asane opened up was sweet,” a viewer noted, highlighting the show’s unexpected warmth.
New characters steal the spotlight too. Hinami, the “loli” with a chair obsession, immediately won hearts. “Hinami is already my favorite,” gushed one fan. “She’s so cute, I’m glad she was saved!” Misaki, the self-conscious “chubby” girl, also resonated: “She thinks she’s fat, but she’s just a little curvy—boys love that!” another user pointed out. Their struggles—Hinami being rejected for her childlike appearance, Misaki hiding her libido—add layers to the show’s chaotic world.
But Nukitashi can’t escape controversy. The episode’s climax features a disturbing scene where a man in a kindergarten outfit tries to assault Hinami. Fans are split: some called it “a bit much,” while others praised it for showing the dark side of Seiran’s forced hedonism. “The ending with that kid-dressing guy was over the top,” one user wrote, “but it reminds you this ‘paradise’ has a dark underbelly.” Others, however, found it unnecessary: “That scene was disgusting,” a critic argued. “What the fuck was the point?”
Then there’s the resistance subplot. Junnosuke and the NLNS (No Love No Sex) crew are plotting to take down the Pervert Law, but Episode 2 makes it clear their plan is “a lot more complicated” than expected. Nanase is now Junnosuke’s “partner in crime,” and their banter keeps the story moving. “I’m here for the chaos,” a fan declared. “Bring on the anti-copulation revolution!”
Let’s talk about Passione’s execution. Some viewers felt the studio held back on fanservice: “Barely any nudity compared to High School DxD,” one complained. “I saw more male asses than girls’!” But others defended it: “The story is actually taking itself seriously,” a user noted. “They’re not just throwing boobs at the screen.” It’s a balancing act, and so far, Nukitashi is walking the line—though not everyone’s happy with the result.
Of course, no anime is perfect, and Nukitashi has its flaws. The pacing dragged for some in the first half (“First half was boring,” a viewer admitted), and the loli jokes rubbed others the wrong way. “What surprised me most is the law against lolis and lesbians,” one fan said. “That’s pretty uncultured for a ‘free love’ island.” But for every critic, there’s a diehard fan: “PEAK ANIME OF THE SEASON,” someone yelled. “EVERYONE IS COPULATING LIKE CRAZY!”
So, is Episode 2 worth watching? If you love raunchy comedy with a side of heart (and don’t mind some cringe), absolutely. It’s not for the faint of heart—between the near-assault scene and the constant innuendo—but it’s never boring. As one fan put it: “This series defies common sense… but holy effin’ F, that’s so awesome!”
Nukitashi the Animation Episode 2 is a wild ride—equal parts hilarious, heartfelt, and head-scratching. Whether you’re here for the chaos, the characters, or just to see what Passione does next, one thing’s for sure: you won’t forget it anytime soon.
Now, if you’ll excuse me, I need to rewatch that fake sex scene. For research. Obviously. 😉
